It is industry best-practice to train all security personnel in the basics of guard work (use of force, arrest, legal issues, patrol techniques, etc.). Having proof of prior training may improve chances of gaining employment. A trained guard is far more valuable than someone without training.

Regulatory Notes
The State of Wisconsin, Department of Safety and Professional Services (DSPS) does not require training to obtain an unarmed Private Security Permit (guard card). The applicant must only pass a background check and pay the permit fees.
The State of Wisconsin, Department of Safety and Professional Services (DSPS) is aware of our training program and has copies of our materials. As there is no mandatory training and no minimum requirements have been established, the DSPS cannot officially approve our program.

Set Your Own Pace

Online System Requirements
Students must have access to an Internet-connected computer or mobile device with audio (sound). Students can use Microsoft Windows, Apple Macintosh, mobile phones, and tablets (iOS and Android). Audio (sound) is a critical requirement as the training is fully narrated. Over half of the information presented is in audio form.
Mobile device screen size must be at least 5.5-inches.
